Those who address the forum inlcude Egypt’s Minister of Industry and Trade Eng. Tareq Qabeel, and President of Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, who began a visit to Cairo leading a senior businessmen delegation, at the invitation of Chairman of the General Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce Ahmed Al-Wakil. The forum is aimed at exploring and discussing joint investment opportunities between the two countries.
“The objective of the visit by Turkey’s delegation is to continue offering the opportunities and available potentials, as well as taking advantage of the facilities, away from political matters, and in a way that would not prevent the flow of co-investments between the two countries,” Al-Wakil said.
Secretary General of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce Dr. Alaa Ezz said 80 Egyptian businessmen will participate in the forum, along with 20 of their Turkish counterparts, representing all companies operating in the areas of food, engineering, chemical, textile, energy, agricultural and services industries.
The Egyptian side is set to present to the Turkish delegation the giant projects in Egypt, in addition to the areas of investment in various sectors. This will be followed by meetings between the delegations of the two unions, on the sidelines of the business forum, with the view to developing co-investments, especially with regard to Egypt’s mega projects, such as the new administrative capital and the 1.5 million acre reclamation project.
